About Me

My name is Lynnsey Erickson and I live and work in downtown Oshkosh. I work at the Winnebago County Health Department as a Community Health Strategist, which means I work to make the community better so that people can be healthier. I work on policy and community-level changes for housing affordability, transportation, and mental health. I previously served in AmeriCorps for 2 years at the health department.

I've enjoyed getting to know this community, from mentoring at the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, volunteering with the Oshkosh Food Co-op, and  being a member of the League of Women Voters of Winnebago County. I currently serve on the City of Oshkosh Plan Commission and Transit Advisory Board.

I'm also a part-time graduate student in UWO's Master of Public Administration program. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor's degree from UW-Madison in 2014.

I grew up in New London, WI, where my parents still live with their two cats. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and being in nature (I have a goal to hike in all of the state parks!),  spending time at different coffee shops (I don't drink coffee, but I do love chai!), and making friends with dogs (and their humans too).
